Box, French, Field Easels & Pochades

Box Easels that combine a support with a storage area for material and carrying handle, typically to make taking materials out on site easier or perhaps a storage area in the home.

Some are for use on table or work tops, others feature legs (French or Field Box Easels) allowing them to stand freely while working outside.

Pochade boxes are a  small box, usually made of wood traditionally used by artists when working outside.  They have a hinged lid that acts as an easel and holds your canvas or board or other support, for painting on, has a fitted removable palette and storage space for your brushes, paints, thinners etc.
