Small sized jars making an ideal lower cost way to introduce yourself to AJ Ludlow's beautiful, light-fast, hand crafted, single pigment Professional Watercolours.
Presented in a Metal tin, consisting of six primary colours specially selected to enable a nice range of secondary greens, purples and orange hues.
By mixing Cadmium Red with Phthalocyanine Green (BS) and Phthalocyanine Blue (RS) with Burnt Sienna gives neutral to warm greys, whilst Burnt Sienna mixed with either Cadmium Yellow or Cadmium Red gives a range of earth tones.

Supplied in 4ml clear jars,the colour can be easily transferred from the jar to the mixing pallet with a painting knife giving the artist more control over quantity compared to using colour from tubes or pans.
Unlike tubes which may require unnecessary additives or formulation changes to make filling easier, the jar’s opening means these additional substances don't have to be used allowing the high transparency and brilliance demanded of a professional high quality watercolour range.
A further advantage of using the clear jars the watercolour wet mass tone can be seen, easily inspected and if necessary re-mixed if separation occurs or if the colour dries.
