Acrylic Mediums - LIQUITEX BASICS - GLOSS HEAVY GEL - 250ml Tube

Mix with acrylic paint to make much thicker, glossier and better for blending.

Also suitable as a collaging adhesive.

  • Thickens fluid/medium body paints, giving an oil paint-like texture that holds brush and knife marks

  • Increases surface gloss, colour depth and transparency.

  • Slows drying time, allowing better colour blends

  • Colour goes further without affecting stability

  • Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality

For techniques including Painting, Impasto, Blending & softening edges, collaging, decoupage & mixed media.

Can also be used with transparent colours for glazing.

Use with Acrylic paints & mediums on all suitable acrylic surfaces.

HOW TO USE:

  • Fully intermixable with acrylic paints

  • Mix with Matte Gel to create a custom satin finish

  • Can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give best results

  • To create the consistency and transparency wanted, mix as much as needed into acrylic colour  - the more added, the more transparent colour will become

  • Apply with a brush as a collaging glue.

  • Do not vigorously over-brush as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry

  • Do not use with any non-acrylic compatible media
