Standard 18mm deep stretched canvas, made using a 10oz medium grain 100% cotton duck, twice primed with white universal primer.

The canvas is hand-stretched over pinewood stretcher bars and fixed with staples on the back with cut and folded corners to create a neat finish and allow the artist to paint the sides if desired.

Canvases can be re-tensioned if necessary, using the supplied wedges as the stretcher bars use mitred corners that have free floating tongue and groove corner joints.

The larger sizes of the canvases have cross bars to add strength and stability to the frame.
