Made using  355 gsm (approx. 12.5 oz) 100% Linen Canvas, the traditional choice for Artists, suitable for most media and all Oils & Acrylics. 

Hand made in Italy by Belle Arti for Global Art they are primed with Clear Acrylic Gesso allowing the artist to use linen canvas' beautiful, natural tone as a background. 

Linen often displays fibres of different thicknesses and small 'slubs', giving a different surface to cotton canvas, creating a more organic feel. 

Each canvas is hand-stretched over strong, lightweight 18mm (3/4") deep x 45mm (1.3/4") widewood stretcher bars supplied with wedges.

The canvas is stapled on the reverse leaving the sides 'clean'.
