Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colours are oil paints which have been modified so that they will mix and clean up with water, removing the need for strong smelling solvents such as turpentine.

Specifically developed to appear and work just like conventional oil colour.

Selection of 10 assorted colours in cardboard outer containing 37ml tubes.

This set contains: Lemon Yellow Hue, Cadmium Yellow Hue, Cadmium Red Deep Hue, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, Cerulean Blue Hue, French Ultramarine, Phthalo Green (Blue Shade), Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, Titanium White. (Actual contents may vary).

The depth of colour, buttery consistency, lightfastness, opacity/transparency, performance and drying times of Artisan, allows it to be used for all traditional oil colour techniques but removing the need to use of solvents such as turpentine or white spirit. 

As a result, artists can enjoy a more comfortable painting environment,  making them ideal for:-

• Oil painters who are sensitive to, or simply want to avoid exposure to solvents such as white spirit or turpentine.
• Schools and colleges where the use of oil colour is prohibited because of the solvents.
