Apply to conventional oil painting supports such as canvas, canvas boards, laminated panels, paper etc.

The choice and high concentration of pigments enables excellent light resistance to be achieved. Colours are available in opaque or transparent shades, depending on the shades of the pigments used. Denoted by:

T : Transparent

O : Opaque

*** : Very good light-fastness = I ASTM Lightfastness

** : Good light-fastness = II ASTM Lightfastness

* : Average light-fastness = III ASTM Lightfastness

Before use, the skin/surface film of the Oil Stick should be removed, which will re-form after a few days of non-use.

Solid oil paint should be applied in a relatively thin film (no more than approx. 1mm).

Layers can be overlapped, in the same manner as traditional oil paint, and can, if necessary, be thinned with traditional solvents and re-worked with brushes or Painting Knives. A clear medium Stick (Ref. 003) is available allowing transparency and glazing effects to be achieved.

Dependant on layer thickness and atmospheric conditions the applied Paint is touch dry within 2 to 5 days. Once dry, after a minimum drying period of 6 months, the paint may be varnished like conventional oil paint using an oil paint finishing varnish.

Avoid heat sources, other than that they may be stored for extended periods of time and requiring no special attention.
